• Dr. Krishna Iyer is one of India’s most respected pediatric cardiac surgeons, renowned for his expertise and dedication to congenital heart surgery.

• He has over 46 years of experience in the field of cardiac surgery, with a focus on treating heart defects in infants, children, and adults.

• Dr. Iyer has performed more than 10,000 complex heart surgeries, including arterial switch procedures, TAPVC repairs, Fontan operations, and corrective surgeries for TOF, DORV, and Truncus Arteriosus.

• In 1995, he established Northern India’s first dedicated pediatric cardiac care program at Escorts Heart Institute, now Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, setting new standards in cardiac care across South East Asia.

• He pioneered the rapid two-stage arterial switch and double-switch operations in India, significantly advancing neonatal heart surgery in the country.
