Dr. K. K. Saxena is one of India’s most renowned Interventional Cardiologists, with over 44 years of experience in the field of cardiology.
He is proficient in a wide range of diagnostic and clinical procedures, including treadmill exercise testing (TMT), Holter monitoring, nuclear cardiology studies (MUGA and thallium scans), and various echocardiography techniques such as 2D echo, Doppler, color flow mapping, and transesophageal echocardiography.
His expertise in interventional cardiology includes pulmonary valve interventions, balloon mitral valvotomy, coarctation of the aorta treatment, renal and peripheral artery disease interventions, and implantation of both temporary and permanent pacemakers.
Dr. Saxena has independently performed numerous cardiac catheterizations for both pediatric and adult patients.
He earned his MBBS from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, in 1980, followed by an MD in Medicine in 1983 from the same university.
He completed his DM in Cardiology from Mangalore University, Karnataka, in 1987 and further pursued a Research Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Saxena has contributed significantly to academic cardiology, with numerous research publications in reputed journals including the Indian Heart Journal.
