Dr. Sandeep Guleria is a renowned Transplant Surgeon with over 35 years of experience in the field of surgery and organ transplantation.
He was honored with the prestigious Padma Shri Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of medicine.
His core areas of expertise include vascular access surgery, dialysis procedures, peritoneal dialysis surgery, percutaneous renal biopsies, and renal transplant surgery.
Dr. Guleria led the surgical team that performed India’s first two kidney-pancreas transplants, marking a milestone in Indian transplant surgery.
He obtained his MBBS from the University of Delhi in 1985, followed by an MS in General Surgery from AIIMS in 1988, and a DNB in Urology/Genito-Urinary Surgery in 1989.
He earned the Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (FRCS) from Edinburgh and England in 2010, and from Glasgow in 1993.
Dr. Guleria is a life member of prestigious medical associations including the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and INASL (Indian National Association for Study of the Liver).
